#16 Tropicana Field Tampa Bay, FL

Tropicana Field was the former home of the Tampa Bay Rays and, honestly, one of the less impressive stadiums in Major League Baseball. The indoor dome was practical for avoiding Florida’s heat and unpredictable weather, but the stadium lacked the atmosphere and character found at many other MLB parks. While it was still cool to check off as an MLB stadium, Tropicana Field was never one of the ballparks that stood out to me.

#17 Oakland Colosseum Oakland, CA

Oakland Coliseum was the longtime home of the Oakland Athletics and one of the most unique venues in Major League Baseball. While it had a strong history and some memorable moments, the aging stadium was far from the nicest ballpark in MLB. Its outdated facilities and lack of modern amenities made it a rougher experience compared with newer stadiums. Still, there was something special about seeing an A’s game there, especially knowing the stadium’s long history with Oakland baseball. The team moved out following the 2024 season.
